I think every person who comes to Amsterdam should stop here. There are wonderful natural beauty, houses and ambience. You can see lambs, cows, ducks at this amazing place. You can experience the view of windmills, factories and water. There are places where you will taste cheese, buffets that you will get. Walking paths are fine and sufficient. Definitely visit to experience peaceful memories. More suitable alternatives may be preferred for transportation. I'm sure it's worth you're gone. just I wanna say would be difficult visiting and walking at the summer time. You should be careful and ready for this situation.

A definite must visit. Unique to Netherlands & one of the remaining active windmill areas. A bit touristy but still very much enjoyable. Free to walk about. Only the specific windmills have an entry fee of 3 to 7 Euros.

Aim to go as early as possible to avoid crowds. Expect to spend a couple of hours at least. Plenty to see from the historic windmills to the cheese shop to the clog museum. One can just relax & admire the beauty as well. There are a couple of eateries on premise for those needing a break or meal. It is an active village so avoid making too much noise when walking through it.

Highly recommened. A bit off the main tourist trail but easily accessible via train, bus or tours.

This is good for a half-day tour. It's not far away from Amsterdam. There will be a bus every 30 mins (If I'm not mistaken). People come here to learn about cheese-making and taste them, too. There is a museum for anyone who is into museums. I didn't visit the museum then. If you come here during summer time, remember to bring extra sun scream or an umbrella because there is not much shades. Enjoy! The shops here are closed very early, make sure you have enough snacks or water

How can you leave Amsterdam without seeing a real windmill and try on some wooden clog or have some Dutch cheeses? Well, you can do all of that there. Start your visit with some Dutch pancakes, then go see how wooden clog and Dutch cheese are made. Then followed by looking at Dutch farmland life and windmills. Finally, I would recommend take the boat and cross the canal to local brewery Hoop.

Would recommend to visit. It’s nice to see the windmill and take pictures. Recommend the boat ride as well, you’ll be able to know a bit of the history of the windmill as well and look at them without walking
